OK, I need someone who knows a lot about computers. OH has tried to log into his computer and this message keeps coming up....

when he puts in his password this comes up..."the user profile service failed the log on. User profile cannot be loaded."

what does that mean??? (I is thick when it comes to computers) How does he get round this?

ooooh wonders if Petal is about.....

whn you say log on do you mean at boot up

or his he logging onto the internet or a mail service?

im not really any help but it will aid others if they know

which operating system ie if windows which version and if he updates regularly

which browser does he prefer

which virus software

has he tried to boot in safe mode?

does he know if he has a roll back date set up incase its a software malfunction

hope he can get it sorted

well thanks to all who helped out with sites etc, but we couldn't make head nor tail of it!! soooo we got our IT chappy we know to come and have a go at it. Evidently it must have been something Windows was doing as he said he'd already had 3 people phone with the same thing!

The server wouldn't let him in to the computer never mind get onto the internet. Cost us £30 to get it fixed.

Computers....don't you love 'em!!!

Glad to hear you got it sorted, even though it did cost.

Sometimes Windows updates cause a problem, and sometimes the next set of updates fix it!
