Wow just made it, Power been off since 9am and it came on 10 minutes ago, so bit panicky what to do, didn't want to open freezer as it had been off for 7 hours, so had some mince and gas hob and voila..............
Chilli-con-carne, with salad in a pitta bread, smells heavenly.

I only ever buy Lambs Liver as the others I find too strong. Lambs liver is mild & very tender.

Pigs liver for us too sooooo cheap, and really tasty, lambs liver doesn't have enough taste for us.

I always use pig's liver too, simply because my mum always did. I used to use pig's kidney too until Mr. T. sent me a substitution of lamb's kidneys and they're ok too. I put mine in a casserole dish, cut up smallish, about twice the size of a postage stamp, and cut the kidney off the core, add a finely chopped onion and cover in cold water. I put it in the hot oven for half an hour (240) and then put it in the low oven which is like a slow cooker for another two or three hours. I thicken it with Bisto when it comes out of the oven......delish!!! and melts in your mouth. Even hubby loves it and he doesn't like meat apart from chicken.
Today we had home cooked cod loin, home made proper chips (naughtily fried in lard just for a treat) fish cakes and beans.

Only do Liver for hubby as I can't eat it. I have tried, but can't. I cook calf's liver for him. However I do do a lovely Chicken liver pate. And I like that.
We had Turkey Stirfry tonight with rice. Hubby had his Choccy orange for afters and I am having my Mr. T's Everyday Value Milk Chocolate. YUM for afters. 🙂
