ed, when you say "ham", do you mean bacon? I ask this, because "ham" and eggs, sounds kind of strange, like American.
My usual English breakfast consists of bacon and eggs, but not "ham" with the eggs
Ham is what we put in sandwiches, cold, isn't it?

Thanks ed, I like a cooked English breakfast of egg, bacon, beans and toast.
But I never thought of putting cold ham into it. Is it good?

I wouldn't eat chips with cold ham either!
Is the ham warmed up, when eaten with the hot cooked eggs? If not, it would seem out of place, in an otherwise hot meal.
Could "ham and eggs" actually be a Americanism for "bacon and eggs", like - " I say tomaytoe, and you say tomahtoe"?

Ham egg and chips features in the menus of most of the cafés in the UK, commonly served with peas.

I was going to be funny (cheeky, but only joking) and ask where else you would bake bread but an oven and then I remembered....a breadmaking machine!!
The concept of food and meals is strange isn't it.
Someone up there said they wouldn't eat chips for breakfast, but we eat eggs and bacon and sausages and beans, so why not chips??
Also, why do we never have pudding after breakfast but we do at any other meal?
