Chocolate Brownies!! Do you make them?
If you do make them, could you answer a question please?
I have a recipe to make chocolate brownies using 'bittersweet chocolate',
Though I wish to make them with Cadburys chocolate.
Could you tell me if I need to alter the amount of sugar in the recipe at all when I make them?
Thank you!

The other half of bar 2 is chopped up into roughly half inch squares, you put half the mixture in the tin, roughly level it, scatter on the chopped chocolate, then cover that with the other half of the mixture. You end up with chocolate chunks at the bottom of the brownies.

'STROPPYYYY' , Oh what a disaster!! Caramilised Chocolate!! although I melted the butter on a very low heat, the simmer setting on the hob, gradually added small pieces of Cadburys chocolate whilst stirring all the time, the chocolate seemed to seperate from the butter, forming a brown lump in the pan . Would this be due to the higher sugar content using the Cadburys rather than the chocolate higher in coaco?
No brownies for me yet!!

I really have no idea - the only time that ever happened to me I had to tried to melt chocolate in the microwave. I have never had a problem melting chocolate over a pan of hot water.

if you melted the choc directly over the heat instead of in a bowl over water simmering that might happen

I made stroppy's recipe the night it was on here. I melted the choc and butter above hot water and it was ok. My problem was, I looked to see if it was cooked and touched the top to see if it was 'spongy' and my finger went straight into it. I gave them another 10 mns until the top just started to get a bit too brown, still expecting them to be runny in the middle. They weren't, in fact they're a bit over-cooked but both hubby and son said they taste delicious!
