Are black cats lucky or unlucky.
Just got this boy from a local shelter.
I wanted an older cat and he is 6 years old
The people at the shelter said that it is always the black ones that get overlooked.
His name was Liquorice when they took him in when his owner died.
I am not too keen on the name, and as he has never really been called that, I have renamed him Sooty.

I have a totally black cat called Costa. He is now about 12 - 13 and we have had him for the past 3 years. He was the victim of a broken home, one didn't want him and the other couldn't, so we were emotinally blackmailed into rehousing him. This meant he was transported from Coventry to just south of Aberdeen in a travelling box in the boot of a car. I was expecting a traumatised moggie but got the most laid back cat I have ever come across. Admittedly he spent the first 2 days under the unlit wood burner and when we went to a wedding for the day, found the cat flap. We were panic stricken thinking of him trekking back down the M6 but his little face came round the lounge door and in he walked and has been doing so ever since! He is a totally human cat, very quiet purr but instead of purring he dribbles!! He has the most beautiful green eyes. The other night he wanted out of the bathroom window so I let him out into the teeth of a raging gale, shut the window and carried on, I looked up and all I could see was two brilliant green eyes staring at me through the dark, enough to give anyone a heart attack!!

I rescued an all-black kitten...Angus McTavish ( Gus for short)
He was 9 months younger than my Balinese (Kiki)
They lived till 19, & died within a week of each other...& I still miss them every blessed day

I've got an all black cat called Coco (Chanel) don't know that she is lucky or unlucky, just know she rules the house, eats for Britain, and is generally quite a little madam. Can't believe that people won't re-home them because of their colour, surely personality counts more than appearance. Coco even bullies the dogs (2 Newfoundlands) but we wouldn't be without her.

How is Sooty doing? I hope he's out from under the chair by now?
