morning ..not bad here

My weekend started early this week, I got the day off today as I have some days left to me, however there was no such thing as an early lie in, as I had to be up and early to take my car down to my local garage... again... always something wrong with it
In the afternoon when I went to go get my car, I got some bad news, the bearings in my passanger side wheel are somewhat kaput, not completely, I can still use my car a little bit, but no more than I have to, though the really bad news, is that it will cost near £200 to get sorted... I'm not a happy bunny

Kame, that's nothing - about 3 years ago the garage discovered, when investigating a water ingress problem, that the driver's door on my car was defective, probably since new - it was slightly bent and that meant there was a crack on the pillar under the paintwork along the midpoint of the window.
That meant a whole new door; that was in the region of a bit over £800 including matching the paint colour! Probably more than the car's value, yes, but I still went ahead and had it done as it was less hassle than writing it off plus, being an older pre-electronics car it is very reliable and very economical on fuel. I'm not going to surrender that easily in favour of anything more recent!
To do so wouldn't be worth it anyway - I do such a low mileage that it's more than likely that when this car does finally expire I'll simply stop driving; it would actually be a lot cheaper if I used a combination of public transport and taxis as it is without having to add in the cost of replacing the thing!

I know, but this is not the first time I've had to put £200 on repairs, in fact I think it's the 6trh, I'd have to check my history. However, this is classed as a niggle, the main prob for my car, is that part of the body frame is severely corroded and needs to be replaced... then of course there's part of the under-carriage that needs replacing, my rear brake callipers... and a fair few more things! All-in-all, it's gonna cost the price of a brand new car to sort out all the problems I've got with it
