Has anybody reportet a buyer to eBay for using abusive and threatening language towards you and had anything other than
"We didn’t find the content to be in violation of our policy."
i don't feel happy that I have to tolerate this

Are you able to tell us here some of the language used ? Use *** if necessary for some words, as eBay do have a strict policy on abusive and threatening language, so would be interesting to see here, what they deemed not to be so . 🤔

No you don't have to tolerate it kitty-shizz, but the writer of the messages will probably be pleased that they have offended you sufficiently enough to report them. And if they are reading these boards and read this thread (which they might) even happier to know that your reporting them has led to no action being taken.
One of the eternal problems with the interwebnet is that anyone can retain their anonymity and write anything knowing that their true identity is unlikely to be discovered. Not only that but a single person could have many, many accounts. Likewise, someone on eBay may well have multiple accounts and retain anonymity; out of interest I tried to find the item you'd sold which had caused such a reaction from a buyer - your username on the boards links to a completely different username and shows no current listings and no recent sales...
See where I'm going with this? You apparently have two - and possibly more - different usernames. So could anyone else. The thing is the person sending you these (allegedly) offending messages could be anybody - partner, boyfriend, girlfriend, son, daughter, a friend of a friend, anybody - and may well be getting a kick out of winding you up. So virtually anything you do is a win for them, with the exception of one thing:
Ignore it. Don't respond, don't report, don't react. There is nothing an attention-seeker dislikes more than being ignored.

that’s a bug. When you change your username on eBay the link on the forum for some reason doesn’t update and the generated link still goes to the users old username. It does not indicate that a user has multiple accounts. Mine does the same which does wind up some who believe I don’t have any right to post as I don’t have anything for sale (I do)

Understood. Thanks for that, jonat.
I did write "apparently have two ... different usernames" - it was not an allegation that the OP was hiding, or attempting to hide, anything; it was simply an observation based the information available to me.
That it's a bug is an explanation, just as someone having multiple accounts is an explanation. As would be someone having a single account but having no items listed for sale (qv my account). The thing is that there could be any number of reasons, all of which are valid but none of which invalidate the fact that a single user can have multiple usernames which could be used for various purposes.
