Welcome to the Weekly Chat with the eBay Community Team 

 

Please ask your questions in the thread below. In order to be able to answer your questions as quickly as possible, we ask you to have one question per post. Of course, you can make as many posts as you like in the Chat- the more the merrier!

 

Our eBay Community Team is made up of kat@ebay , dave@ebay  and katie@ebay . Between us, we have knowledge in Buying, Selling, ProTrader, Fulfilment, Parts & Accessories, Payments, and the Community itself. Anything we aren’t sure on we’ll know the people who will be! Please ask us any questions you may have and we’ll do all we can to support. 

 

The Community Chat will open at 2pm and will remain open until 3pm. After that it will be closed for further questions. Of course, we will continue to take care of answering any questions that may still be unanswered—We’ll get to everything as quickly as possible. 

 

To ask your question, click Reply in the lower-right corner of this post, type your question, and click Reply between 2pm and 3pm. The community team will answer each incoming question in chronological order, and will quote the original question in each answer.

There will be banners updated to eBay accounts within the seller hub with updates to everyone who is impacted. We will also update all the threads here on the boards to do with the payout issue.

No payments made in account for 2 days, ebay have not had the decency to acknowledge this to their loyal sellers, after calling helpdesk, was told their is a problem and will escalate it, this does not solve the issue, payments are not going in and is having a damaging effect on my day to day running of the business, my question is when will ebay be able to give an answer to when payments will start going into accounts again, we do not need false answers please?

Will account defects due to delays be removed? I can imagine they'll be a lot of disgruntled buyers who buy from the many who won't afford postage...especially if it takes a long time to resolve! But then I can't see that happening when ebay thinks an item bought 2nd Class on Friday with 2day dispatch should show up Tuesday🙃

Why are you taking no notice whatsoever of sellers concerns over their total nosedive in item views, watchers and sales? What are you *doing* to the website?

The way eBay has handled this whole thing has been absolutely ridiculous, all this money that has randomly not been received, eBay are theives.

That is the standard answer we always get when ever there is any Ebay glitch. It is now 36 hours since you notified us of our payments have sent - why is your information so limited & slow?

We don't need banners we all know about the issue, ebay should be making steps to contact every BUYER not seller! in the UK to let them know of any possible delays and confirm removal of any defects due to their delay

Hi @spsbargains 

 

There is an active issue on site with payments. Our Tech Team are working on a fix for this. At the moment though we don't have time frame for how long this will take. Usually we will work on finding the issue then once its resolved we will roll out a fix. 

 

Tech will roll out a banner to affected sellers Seller Hub with updates as soon as they have it.

As the tech team are working on this right now they are working to identify the root cause. There will be updated banners posted to the seller hubs of everyone who is impacted. When we have an update on a fix for this we will post back here to let you know.

They are taking a long time to identify issue.  Seems a little ridiculous that you do not have to meet a better KPI then this when peoples money at stake

At the moment I cant say if a Defect is or will be removable, we will of course review any Defects as normal once they have been received.

There been a recent update to the listing views count where bot traffic has been removed. This has had an impact to listing views and it also based on the last 30 days. The aim of this is to make the views more accurate. We do review the feedback from these threads on this topic and regularly send it to the relevant teams.
