So what extra layer of goodie will this "buyers fee" provide ??

Would assume it's the "24/7 customer support, where you can connect with a real person by phone whenever you need" Currently you can't speak to anyone after 6pm

Another benefit is that sellers wont have to refund buyers if their parcels get lost in the post anymore. eBay will do it apparently. 

Oh silly me, that's SELLER protection, as buyers currently have this protection for no additional charge
