The Farrago started weeks ago & I was told by eBay the issue was with my Bank, it turned out not to be the case.
Next eBay referred me to PayPal after numerous attempts PayPal advised me it was an eBay issue. Around we go.
back to my Bank & back to PayPal, we now know it is eBay issue, I have requested an invoice from sellers one of which had already made an unpaid claim against me for a mobile phone. PLEASE eBay, contact the sellers to clear my name & work for the solution

None of us knows anything about what's happened. With so little information it's difficult to advise you.
It appears that you bought an item, but the seller claimed you didn't pay and opened an unpaid item case?
If you paid by PayPal, there will be a record of your payment in your transactions history in your Paypal account. If so, eBay and PayPal work together, so the unpaid item case should have been found in your favour. You haven't told us the outcome.
Could this be something as simple as a new or returning seller, who didn't realise that their payment would be held by PayPal for 21 days before being released to them? Or did you pay by credit card, which would have been processed through PayPal, which can lead to complications. Or were you persuaded not to pay through eBay's checkout, for example to make a family and friends PayPal payment? This may not have been associated with the eBay purchase.
These are only guesses. If you wish us to help you, you need to ask again and provide more information.
Only thing I will say on this, it is not an eBay issue......ebay are not involved in any way with payments for purchases, these are handled entirely by Paypal
Ebay don't look at these boards.
Have you added card to paypal?
Is it still within date?
Are you trying to pay from paypal or with debit/credit card.
