Hi all. I purchased an auction item and paid for it immediately. The seller dispatched the item but before I received it, she messaged me to say that she couldn't access the paypal funds as she had used an invalid email address. She then asked me to cancel the original payment and pay it direct to paypal via a different email address. I didn't feel comfortable doing this as I hadn't received the item at this stage. When the item arrived if was more than half a size smaller than advertised, i.e 15g instead of 35g. I raised this with her and her response was 'must have been a typo'. I did not cancel the Paypal payment, partly because it slipped my mind, then yesterday she raised an 'Unpaid Item' Dispute!! Subsequently I asked for a call back from Customer Service who - no.1. suggested I cancel the payment, then make it again (although she still hasnt changed her email address....says she can't), no 2. suggested I request a discount for the misdescription or return the item. Having had various messages flying back and forth all day, she is now behaving in a threatening manner and making out that this problem as been caused my me, which it clearly has not. Sorry for the long post, but can anyway help?
Hi, if the PayPal email she has is still one she can access, all she needs to do is add the 'wrong' PayPal address to her PayPal account and the monies can come through and all this will be sorted.
If not then you can cancel your payment and send it to her correct address, you would still be covered by PayPal.
If you get a strike on your account over the unpaid item case, you can appeal that and have it removed as none of this is your fault, you tried to pay.

If or when the payment has reached her, then you should open a case for item not as described. You have not received what you paid for so the money back guarantee applies.
