Is RMA number the same as eBay return ID

I need to return a damaged item and have been issued with rerurn label and package slip by eBay. It asks me to write the return RMA number on the label but despite much Googling, I'm still not sure where to find this. I have a 10-figure 'eBay return ID'. Is that the same thing?

Some sellers activate this feature as it stops ebay automaticaly issuing the wrong type of label.

You can ask seller but number is usualy supplied in a message to you, if not advised of it then it is probably not needed just seller controlling return postage and can be left blank or ebay number used.

It's a return merchandise authorisation reference that the seller might have given you.

If you've been given any reference by the seller use that.

An RMA is supplied by some sellers so ask your seller.   It will help them connect your returned item with your order details.   But it's not necessary as far as ebay's return system is concerned.
