Hi all,
I am trying to add a new buisness bank account however eBay is displaying this error message: "We couldn't verify this bank account. Please select a different payment method." I have completed the basic checks of ensuring details match etc.
This bank account already attached to another eBay buisness account which we sell new items. On this account we sell used items.
I contacted support and they say that the same bank cannot be attached to another eBay account. I suspect this is not correct as it is not mentioned anywhere in the multi account policy and its incredibly impracticle given the difficulty in having multiple business banks.
Do any other buisness sellers have multiple BUSINESS accounts attached to the same bank?
Thank you.

Just to update incase anyone else has the same issue.
Tried through live chat again this morning and after politely arguing through two seperate CS agents and being told we had to open a new bank account I asked to be transferred to a manager. After this I went through a verification phone call and then a few hours later got a call saying go ahead and add the bank account.
Added the bank and everything is working as expected.
Thanks for suggsting messaging in the morning for Dublin, the manager had an Irish accent and was the most helpful. @tressygirl
All resolved, just a shame eBay CS is so painful.

I have more than one Ebay account connected to a single Bank account. So it's definately possible to do.
Most likely, it is something to do with details not matching somewhere.

I appreciate the reply, just to confirm the other account is also a business account on eBay? Thank you.

Most odd as advised, more than one account can share the same bank account, but not the same email or username ID.
I would suggest to contact eBay Customer Services who have access to your account and hopefully can see where the issue lies.
Lines are closed now but try and contact very first thing tomorrow morning when the lines first open at 8 a.m. as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
To Contact Customer Services it's a Live Chat, or you can select to speak and request a Call Back. Click on this link:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid
On weekdays lines open between 8 a.m. and 10 p .m.
On weekends they open between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Yes, fully registered business accounts.
It will be something to do with the way it's been added etc.

I have just been on chat/phone, and been told if its not a business bank account, you can only have 1 or possibly if your lucky 2 accounts linked to 1 bank account. THE END!
I also asked if it was the same for Business accounts on ebay and was basically told you'll be lucky to be able to have 2 ebay accounts linked to 1 bank account even if both are business.
Seems odd.

I tried not adding the 400 (in my case) or for you maybe a 600, at the start of the checking account number and it worked.

We have different numbers for bank accounts in the UK.
