eBay is very frustrating at the moment. I had some PS2 games on here for around 3 weeks, a few sold and others got hardly any views. I listed some on V and got same day sales so my £5.99 free postage item on eBay wasn’t wanted but V buyers were prepared to pay just over £7 immediately with no haggling 🤷.
It is worth moving listings around platforms to see what works best but as mentioned if you have to re-list the same thing over and over on V as there is no multi quantity option it becomes a lot less practical to use.

I sold a card and a pair of sandals. Just testing the water to see what works as Ebay isn't working for me any more. I wasn't asked whether I wanted a business or personal account. I am happy to upgrade to a business account but can't see where to do it.
Yes, the issue is that you have to relist something when it sells.

Best to google V Pro and login on desktop through that page it’s a fairly easy conversion.
You wait 14 days after delivery to get your money so it tends to be about 18 days in total for me. Not great for cashflow but you get used to it.
The one thing that would give me a bit of anxiety over there with cards is there’s no way you can send them with any of those couriers in the usual Royal Mail way, they will get destroyed. You’d have to spend more on alternative packaging.

Just search for Vxxted Pro on the help and you will find it.
Be careful of the rules with them as I've found that they can be very strict for the littlest thing.
Do look at the rules surrounding multi quantities. They really don't like them, but you can get away with it, just be careful. 🙂
As to couriers, as long as your using Board backed envelopes, then I think that in the main, it shouldn't really be an issue. Though there are one or two couriers that I would be wary of. Fortunately, you can switch them off. Though I still get the odd one for some strange reason, with couriers that I've blocked.
In the main though, virtually everything goes with Inpost.

Sent card this morning via Inpost. Dropped it in a box at a local supermarket. I already send cards in card backed envelopes, so will see how it goes. My cost of sales on ebay is now a massive 64% and unsustainable so just trying other avenues. I do have an Amazon account, but selling cards on there is not an option. Also, I buy a lot of Amazon warehouse clearance stock and selling on there is not allowed.
Thanks for the advice, I'll have a look at V Pro and get re-registered.

I put a couple of items up on Amazon.
First problem was finding my item.
Even if I did find it then it was way down the search after other none relevant items.
Then when you get to the page for the item there is no "Buy now" button.
You have to click on more options to get a price and buy button.
At least my items show up on ebay and there is a buy it now button.
Just a shame selling on ebay is so slow.

If you do find damage becomes a problem then actually thinking about it, what I’d do is just wrap extra cardboard around the hard backed envelope and tape that up to make it a chunky large letter. Then hopefully the packaging costs can stay the same as it doesn’t need to be as neat and tidy like we would send an eBay item, use free cardboard, it’s just a bit more time consuming.
I am also disillusioned with the eBay fees. I’ve just listed some coins that were on eBay for £9.99 freepost since 8th April. Took them down and sold them on V for £8 in the past 10 minutes, the buyer paid £11.49 in total. I’m not sure I want to pay an eBay shop fee anymore when there are alternatives that take less of my time and cost me less £.

V**ted outselling eBay for me now, I registered as Pro a month ago, couple of hoops to jump through for Mango Pay.
Just cancelled eBay shop subscription on business account as like you it’s not sustainable.
I’ll still list a few things to keep a presence.

It shouldn't be that difficult finding an item on there.
Just search via EAN number. You will find duplicates, but you need to be very careful with that, as only one will be the correct EAN.
Just because something is low in search, doesn't mean that you can't build it up again. It's actually not that difficult.
For the BIN button, it's generally not there, because the prices are too high. Given time this will even up, but it does take time.
It works extremely well when it works. And you can sell a lot of stock on there. You just have to be prepared for the various issues, such as the race to the bottom on price.
There are problems with greeting cards though, as they tend to recycle EAN's, which then makes an issue with the catalogue. Your then stuck having to create your own, which puts you on dodgy ground.

Well done you.
eBay, take note.....
Your search engine is no longer a search engine, as you have manipulated it so much to show people what you want to show them, and not what they want to see.
I've been convinced for quite a while now eBay is run by backward kids.

Just a shame selling on ebay is so slow.
And expensive for the rubbish service we get.
If eBay were a seller they'd have been kicked off the site years ago for being so useless.
