Ever since i have joined the forum have been amazed at the amount of signed books found in charity shops. So for the last six months i have been checking at least once a week with no joy (i reckon alex and nigel are there before me lol).
Until yesterday going through the books as i always do when i picked an Allan Lamb auto up and there on the title page his signature, had this great feeling wow ive finally found one.
Then my heart sank in top right hand corner in pencil signed book 10 pound!!!!.I always give to charity but just thought too excessive as book not in the best of condition so unfortuatally i put it back on the shelf and my quest continues.
all the best

I pass on a lot like that myself. One I go in regularly has a tatty dedicated Botham for £10 at the moment. I would not go for it if it was £1! Another has a dedicated Placido Domingo for £20 but it has damp damage (stinks of damp, warped boards, spots on signed page). I would snap it up for £20 if it was not damp damaged, but in this condition would only offer £2 to £3.

Ty will do enjoy having a search round and always a plus side instead of following the wife around the shops i nip off into the charity shops searching for a hidden gem.

£10 :_|
I can buy a book and send it TTM for a autograph for less than that. I wouldn't pay that either.
