a strange week

been in the land of fairys since tuesday after a op on my foot which did not go to great but on the + side still got a foot left:-) then wednesday left royal mail after 25 yrs to become a man of leisure:-) got some results back will be posting had a quick look at the results being posted so well done to you all

It really was a strange week for you. I hope your foot problem is resolved soon. Do you need follow up surgery/treatment? It must be really weird for you, not having to think about a job you have done for so long. It was strange enough for me when I was made redundant in 99 after 10 years in a job, and left with nothing but free time for a while. 25 years in a job is a long time, and it becomes part of who you are.

You posted three great successes this morning. Your Pete Best and Ray Wilson cards have been signed really nicely and look brilliant. The Jaap Stam cards are nice also.

I hope you enjoy your free time. Any plans for what you may get up to?

thank you for your kind words nigel,yes have to have a follow up treatment,but not to much ,what am i going to do ,well for a start got plenty of books to read over the winter months

You take it easy mate..I did almost 25 years in my last job before being made redundant, It's like part of your life has been taken away..enjoy the free time as you never know when it's youe turn for "UpStairs" mate.

We'll meet again someday...some sunny day...dont know where............at a footy match down south I hope. Enjoy the retirement, go for long walks with a sack on yer back.

Some great replies posted today, Alan. Hope you are feeling better after your op. It must be strange not to have to go into work after the same routine for such a long time but, I'm sure you'll find plenty to do. Most retired people I talk to are busier than when they worked.
