Willie Carson OBE signed by 10p book :-D

This is one of the 10p books I bought in a local charity shop a couple of weeks ago.

I sent the book off to Willie Carson OBE, Via a private address, On the 22nd of March using recycled stamps for both journeys. Today the book has been returned signed twice by Willie and he has also added a signed complments slip, Willie Kindly signed the title page of the book, looks like he made the effort for the doodle to look like a jockey's cap, then added his signature to one of the coloured photo's in the book. William Fisher Hunter Carson, OBE (born 16 November 1942) is a retired jockey in thoroughbred horse racing. Best known as "Willie", Carson was born in Stirling, Scotland. In 1957 he was apprenticed to Captain Gerald Armstrong at his stables at Tupgill, North Yorkshire. His first winner in Britain was Pinker's Pond in a seven-furlong apprentice handicap at Catterick Bridge Racecourse on 19 July 1962. He was British Champion Jockey five times (1972, 1973, 1978, 1980 and 1983), won 17 British Classic Races, and passed 100 winners in a season 23 times for a total of 3,828 wins, making him the fourth most successful jockey in Great Britain. Thanks a million Willie Carson OBE...Now here's hoping for the second 10p to be returned.
