Mustav. Martin Colman investigation.

The Mustav investigation is now drawing to a close, and AFTAL have now made the first list of signatures available on our website. Just find the website and go to news.

Martin Colman is cooperating with us in full, and will be making his customers aware of what is happening and how he will be making refunds etc.

So far we have been through all of the 700+ items that Martin has supplied to us which he removed from his eBay shop. We are working through three piles. The first one contains the items we consider to be non authentic, and a list of some of those can now be found on the website.

So far we are able to confirm that the following names are non authentic. Piper Perabo, Maggie Grace, Justin Bieber, Bruce Willis, Denise Richards, David Tennant, Usain Bolt, Kim Cattrall, Sebastian Vettel, Orlando Bloom, Scarlett Johanson, Uma Thurman, Cate Blanchet, Nicole Kidman, Kristin Davis, Elijah Wood, Anastasia, Pink, Tom Hanks, Russell Crowe, Johnny Depp, and Kylie Minogue.

The common link between most of these is the paper and the size. The great majority are 12" x 8" and are ink jet prints rather than genuine photos, and few have any manufactures name on the reverse (Fuji etc).

Please keep in mind that the list is not complete, and more will be added later, but we want to be sure that what we list is non authentic, so we are making as many comparisons etc as we can.

If you have bought any of the above from Mustave, then you should contact Martin for a refund. It is important that these items are returned to Martin, as he needs to get his money back from his supplier, and also important that these items never get into circulation again.

We are aware that some other sellers have had the same items (same names, same images) and these too should be considered as non authentic and should be returned to the supplier, as its very possible that they have come from the same supplier (we do know who that is, but will not be naming them on here at this time). 

We will be publishing more information as it comes to light, and more names as we confirm their authenticity.

We would also like to confirm that Martin is not now and has never been an AFTAL or UACC registered dealer, and that AFTAL have taken this on as part of our fight against fraud and forgery within this business. 

Within reason, i will answer any questions that i can on here on behalf of AFTAL.

I have had a call from a member of this list who wanted to know if the items listed were 'secretarial'

For the time being we are listing them as 'non authentic' as this is the easiest way to cover all the points. We are sure that some are secretarial, the Kylie Minogue for instance we believe is probably from her office.

There have been other items sold which we are aware of, such as Charlton Heston, which is a fairly recent discovery for us all, but there may have been others as well.

Any further information which may help will be handled in confidence.

Once again you can see that these are all contempory and again on the same 8 x 12 images.
