That's fantastic Richard. I used to go to some of the wrestling bouts at Wycombe Town Hall in the early 80s, but I probably just missed Ray's peak career. I saw the likes of Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks and many others, but I think the supporting bouts tended to be regional with just the bigger names touring the country. A lot like Mick McManus had already retired by then, but it was still good fun.
I did a search on Ray to get some more info after reading your post Richard, and if anyone is interested you can contact Ray directly for copies of the book -
He certainly sounds an interesting character, and the book looks a good read. I think that was an excellent in person Richard.
