Sent Derby C. 1968-69 team pic, football card, two photos and index cards to Kevin Hector on 15/2 received all back signed today.
Kevin Hector was a striker who played professional football between 1962-82. He made his debut in 1962 for Bradford Parl Ave., making around 180 app, scoring 113 goals in his four years at the club. In 1966 he moved to Derby County and in a two spells at the club, 1966-78 & 1980-82 he made 486 league apps, scoring 155 goals, still a club record. During his time at Derby he won the First Division twice, Second Div championship and reached the semi finals of the FA Cup, European Cup and League Cup.
Between 1978-80 he played for Vancouver Whitecaps making 63 apps and scoring 39 goals.
He was capped twice by England in 1973, probably most remembered for his 2 min substitute appearance at the end of Englands game with Poland in 1973, a 1-1 draw which put us out of the 1974 World Cup Finals.
