I mentioned a little while back that my Christmas 2012 present was due to be sent out. I actually ordered it on 23/11/2012.
It was via the Pledge service which helps fund artistic projects while raising money for charity. Most offer various forms of their project at different prices from basic download all the way up to things like custom art on guitars, etc, etc.
I went for a £50 package of limited edition signed book and signed cd. Killing Joke are one of my all time favourite bands, and Jaz Coleman is a fascinating and multi-talented man.
Part of the delay was getting the right quality of binding and packaging for everything, and pinning Jaz down for signing as he spends a lot of time in New Zealand. The book has quality binding and pages (much nicer than most books) with a nice dust jacket. It is housed in a slipcase that matches the dj cover.
Only 1000 copies of the book were printed, and not all were signed. He will be writing a second volume that follows on from this.
The cd is Jaz's second symphony, and quite stunning it is too. I had the download a long time ago, and have been listening to it quite a bit since.
Really pleased with the quality of these items, and will treasure these.
No replies today, but another charity shop find.
