Fulham FC - Help needed

Hello folks,

I've been lurking around here for a while and would like to become more of an active member. Hope you don't mind me starting off with a question.

I've been collecting for a while, but only really actors, mostly from soaps. I really want to try and get some Fulham FC autographs for my mum for her birthday in a couple of months. She's supported them for over 40 years and it would really make her day. But I'm not really sure how to go about it or the best way to increase my chances of a reply when writing to a football club.

So, any advice would be great, please.

Write a nice letter, Be honest, add a  return SASE  and I'm sure you'll have replies. Fulham addy will be on their website so get the pen and paper out tonight mate.

I met the Fulham team last year when they knocked us, Accy Stanley, Out the FA Cup, And if you do get involved more it's suprising what memers can offer n the way of help.;-)

Thanks for the quick reply. It sounds daft now, but I just wanted to be sure that the process with football clubs wasn't any different to just sending off individual letters to actors, which is what I normall do. Will give it a go and let you know how I get on.

I've sent a few requests to Fulham over the last year and replies have been hit and miss, and most have taken several months to come back.

I sent mine with a letter, SASE and photos/trading cards that I wished to have signed.

Good luck with this. Perhaps if you explain the reason for writing it might speed up the response time. Were there any players in particular you wanted to send to?

If i was you would get to home game with a picture u want signed and wait for the team either before or after the game,if not from london wherever the club is playing closest to you,as alex said above team happy to sign.

I was at Fulham on sunday and most players are very easy to get , the only one i found hard and did not stop was Danny Murphy.

I wouldn't be able to make it down to a game unfortunately. I was hoping to just send a letter to either the stadium or training ground and see what they can send, but maybe I'll rethink that.

is it past players or current ones ? u could try sending a shirt to their training ground ( maybe to manager mark hughes , or coaches kevin hitchcock, eddie Niedzwiecki and ask one of them to get others on their - explain way and see who you get back, theyre all nice enough people when ive met them IP it maybe your best shot.

Oh and in regards to alex and his fast response - yeah he does that - alot 🙂

not all sign either so like perry said it may be easier to ask someone like mark hughes to get others on a photo or something 🙂

Thanks again for the welcome and advice guys. I ended up just posting a letter off to Fulham explaining the situation, about a week ago. If nothing comes of it, I'll be a bit more organised next year and try to get down to the ground ahead of time.

Will let you know how I get on, anyway.
