Thought I would try my luck with David Jason again and received a reply in just 4 days

he didn't signed my item and instead of the usual pre print I received a 6x4 photo card with a note on the back explaining why he can't sign, saying they hope I appreciate the pre signed photo.  I can't work out whether it is pre signed or a pre print but compared to an example I found on Fanmail Biz it looks like a pre print

he's very hit and miss, started replying regularly through his home address but got bombarded so these getting sent out.

I sent to the house and got a note to send to agent, Nothing back yet so lets see...

I read a while ago he signed up to some guy who now controls his autograph output.Everything he signs is sold for various charity causes at quite an expensive price!
