Dave Bassett-Ebay purchase

Bought this card from Ebay of Dave Bassett.Was reading his autobiography when I read he had trials at Chelsea in 1961 as a youngster.Checked the handbook of that year and sure enough it was there ! 2 games for their Eastern Counties side plus in the touring party to a tourament in Augsberg,Germany.Will try and write to him eventually to find out his memories of this time !

I like Dave. He gets a lot of stick from many Watford supporters for an abysmal season as manager. Sadly, most football supporters look for scapegoats when things do not work out. Some of the harsh words even to this day are bang out of order.
