Alex's clapton failure prompted me to start this thread.....as we all know he sent a book but it wasnt signed but a pre print sent instead...now whats the point in that...it would have took mr clapton the same amount of time to sign the book as it would stuff a pre print pic in the envelope.....these celebs who refuse to sign but send in prints etc should think abit more about signing for fans...afterall when theycve some book,cd or other item to plug they expect us fans to spend our well earned cash on thier wears so why not give a little bit back...i know they may get bombarded but sign a few every now and then for petes sake.....wheres the harm...
it really gets on my nerves this subject and does my head in......oh well rant over !!!!

A big part of the problem is management and staff, but especially the management. Some of these people don't let fans or mail near their celebs. Many celebs are more than happy to sign, and probably do not realise they have had as much mail as they see.

That's why I chose "VV" rather than anywhere else...I was hoping he would receive it rather than a sec ....who would simply add the pre printed sig and Eric Clapton being non the wiser..He might as well have a pile of signed promo pics like the Utd club cards.
I'll be trying again mate don't you worry..

Unfortunately some celebs think sending a p&p will satisfy the fans, which in some cases it will, but not for genuine collectors.at least a p&p is better than a sec,it doesn't ruin the item you've sent.

I agree - they should sign, at least every now and again. We do pay their bills (indirectly)
