Bank Holiday Competition

A little bit of fun for a drab holiday Monday. Up for grabs is -

1. HB copy of Billy signed to the title page by the author Pamela Stephenson

2. HB copy of My Friend's Secrets signed to first title page by Joan Collins

3. a signed 6x4 pic of Liza Tarbuck

4. a white card signed by former Watford legend Neil Cox (also Villa, Boro and Bolton amongst others).

The question is - At the start of what year did I attend my first Watford match at Vicarage Road?

Tie breaker - against which team?

I will end the comp at 10pm this evening. If more than one get it right I will do a draw unless an individual gets the tie breaker correct, then they will win. Only one winner and winner gets all four items above.

Come on Paul - you are not trying too hard. I was still at school when I saw my first game, and now have grey hair (when not shaved off).

The truth is out there - a once popular tv show didst state, but look within for answers.

It was a League Cup semi final replay on 30/1/79 and it was a 0-0 draw Forest won 3-1 on aggregate

Congrats Brian, you are indeed correct on all counts, and the outright winnner. Alan and Stuart had the correct year, but wrong opposition.

My cryptic clue - "The truth is out there - a once popular tv show didst state, but look within for answers" - referred to the fact the answer was within the forum. If you go to search, type "first match" as the search string and restrict the posts by my member id thehornets, the answer is there.

I managed to miss another competion by not being around yesterday,but I wouldn't have got the right answer anyway!
