No shame in supporting smaller clubs. Could never understand why local kids at my schools would take to supporting teams hundreds of miles away when there were more local teams they could follow. My gran was born and bred near White Hart Lane so Spurs is in my old family blood, but I am a logical sod, even as a nipper, so it was Brentford, QPR or Watford by geography, and Watford won due to them being easier to get to by public transport. No matter where I have moved to, Watford have been my local team. I have had a truly marvelous time as a Watford supporter, and seen well over a 1000 games home and away. I might not have been to many games since May 2008, but the team stays in my heart, and I never miss a beat on match days. I love football as a sport and can admire the greats of teh game, but will always be Watford til I die.

My missus is not doing good again at the moment, and I had a ticket for Lloyd Doyley's testimonial today. I did not make it to the legends game at 12:15 whch was a shame, but I did manage to sneak out to see the main game at 3pm v Spurs just making kickoff,  and sped back home straight away afterwards. Thoroughy enjoyed just being there watching a match. Getting to matches week in week out you do not realise how special the opportunity is until it is taken away, so when I get the odd chance now, it is magical for me.

Getting back on track - green and blue are no good to me, but red and black work well with Watford colours. 🙂
