Amazing generosity!!

Hi guys,

The subject of this doesnt really have anything to do with autographs but it all started here and involves a member of this group so I thought it worth a mention.

Some of you might remember that only a few days ago I posted a message about an Amy Johnson autograph, and to be honest, I didnt think I would get very far with it but suddenly Patrick8863 replied to it.  Now I have come up with a scan of her autograph from Patrick which is perfect but he didnt stop there.  It turns out that Patrick is also interested in militaria and has a number of contacts in that area too. So for the past few days myself and Patrick have been exchanging emails and he has come up with a number of medals he is sending me that have been donated by his contacts and one he bought himself to donate to me too!  All of this is for a school project my daughter is doing in her history class, the project is titled "Who do you think has made the greatest impact in history between 1910 and 2010".  Jody picked Amy Johnson and now with the great help of Patrick, if Jody doesnt get top marks I will want to know exactly why!

Patrick, I know you never did this for fame and glory but I believe in praise where it is due and most certainly a BIG thank you from myself and Jody - your help is priceless.

Patrick what a lovely gesture...we know only too well of Patrick and his families generousity as he's sent Jess a couple of autographs he's seen whilst buying for himself

Jody has just had a really nice email from Amy Johnsons remaining family members.  They have offered a bit of information in the email and have also offered to send her a photograph of Amy in her flying clothes!  So far so good....!
