Alex Elder ex Burnley/Stoke City success

Sent my England v N.Ireland programme and two index cards to Alex Elder via Stoke City FC back on the 12/8 2010 and received back 4/1/2011. Thought I had lost this one! He signed the programme on the team page and the two index cards. He also sent a 4 page letter as well which was a fantastic bonus. Brilliant reply. The letter had a Spanish address, so I believe he now spends part of his time over in Spain and returns to Burnley every now and then.
Alex played professional football for Glentoran 1956-59, Burnley 1959-67, Stoke City 1967-73 and Leek Town 1973-75. In all he made 362 appearances, scoring 16 goals.
He was part of the Burnley side that won the old First Division in 1959-60 and was also a member of the Burnley team that lost the 1962 FA Cup final.
He played 40 times for Northern Ireland, scoring once and also represented Northern Ireland at B, Under 23 and Schoolboy level.

Great clarets legend. I saw Alex in town a few weeks back just before xmas. Like you said he spends most of his time over in Spain but returns back to the town now and then. Great success
