A TTM Plus

I sent two of my cards and book to Bill Pertwee on the 4/7/11 and they came back today signed along with another photo from Mr. Pertwee. The plus is that last Wednesday, 6th July, I had a phone call and the voice at the other end said, "hello, this is Bill Pertwee" It took me completely by surprise and I wasn't at my best, conversationally. Lol. Very pleased with this reply.

Lovely reply from Bill Suzanne. He's a lovely man, and keeps the Dad's Army legend alive. I sent him the same book for signing, and thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Not nosey at all Richard. As I said I was totally wrong footed and wasn't at my best. He just let me know he had received everything and apologised because he wouldn't be able to send them back straight away. I had to wait a whole week! 😮 He just wanted to thank me for the interest.

I wrote back to him to say how pleased I was that he had phoned and to apologise for being a blithering idiot!
