After years of trying I finally managed to get hold of the address of Johnny Petts who managed us during the 77/78 season. As usual of late it turned out he was still living in Northampton and only a few hundred yards from my sister. I decided to call unanounced and got a very cold reception, he was actually on the phone when I arrived a geve me a look that could have killed me outright. Luckily with only a few minutes on his doorstep I won him round and we parted with him telling me I was welcome any time.
