Hi everybody!
The Community Chat will open at 2pm and will remain open until 3pm on Wednesday. After that it will be closed for further questions. Of course, we will continue to take care of answering any questions that may still be unanswered—We’ll get to everything as quickly as possible.
Please ask your questions in the thread below. In order to be able to answer your questions as quickly as possible, we ask you to have one question per post. Of course, you can make as many posts as you like in the Chat- the more the merrier!
This week, our eBay Community Team is made up of kat@ebay dave@ebay and marco@ebay. Between us, we have knowledge in Buying, Selling, Fulfilment, Payments, and the Community itself. Anything we aren’t sure on we’ll know the people who will be! Please ask us any questions you may have and we’ll do all we can to support. We understand that certain topics, such as concerns about businesses possibly using private accounts, can be frustrating and important to you. Please refrain from asking the same question repeatedly in our weekly live chats. We assure you that we carefully review all posts in the forum and ensure that your concerns are communicated to the relevant teams for appropriate action.
To maintain a constructive and community environment, posts that repeatedly breach this guideline may be removed. Continued violations could result in further action against your community account. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in helping us keep our community focused and respectful.
To ask your question, click Reply in the lower-right corner of this post, type your question, and click Reply between 2pm and 3pm. The community team will answer each incoming question in chronological order and will quote the original question in each answer.
Please note that any reply without a question to the community team or discussion replies may be removed from the chat. We want to keep on track to get through as many questions as possible. We welcome all discussion to be moved to the discussion boards.
If you missed the weekly chat time, please ask your question in the community boards and tag us or we will be back next week with another chat!
Many thanks,
Your eBay Community Team

Hi, a new bug has come up in the bulk labels purchase page, Filling out the customs form doesn’t update the error warning or note from saying “Please open the Customs Form and confirm its content”
Purchasing the label still works, but we can’t easily tell which ones have been filled out.
Please can you also prod tech about the bulk postage page issues regarding postage not combining for international orders, and postage method not updating to the one selected in the order - I’ve had another package gone out international standard instead of tracked

I put up 3 listings using sell similar, low and behold a week later £20 in advanced ad fees.
The items from which the listings were created were in a campaign that was ended and deleted but eBay still ticked the promoted advanced option on the sell your item form.
I would ask you for the money back but I'd have more luck getting blood out of a stone, it is however extremely underhanded to auto tick what is basically a £5 per day subscription in this manner.
I don't expected to get ripped off like this when using eBay and am thoroughly annoyed about it. Yes I'm sure you'll say it was there to see but the point of sell similar is to nip through quickly so I just changed the photos and hit end on the keyboard.

Hi @bobsbrickstuff ,
Thanks for the report and will follow up with tech regarding the other two. Once I have an update I will let you know.
Thank you,
Kat

Good afternoon,
Any up-date on Postage for bladed items that need to be posted with : Age Verification Upon Receipt.
We have to list such items with this option : but when item sells there is no way we can buy the label from Royal Mail. Disappeared on-line and is also not available on Simple Delivery. Had to contact eBay Customer Services and they told me: choose another RM postage option.
I'm asking this now for months.
Thank you very much for sorting this out as soon as possible. Need some attention.

Hi williabaxte7, thanks for your post.
It should still be there. However, you do need to book the collection before you create your prepaid label, maybe that's the problem?
If you click here, you can see step by step instructions. If you still can't do this after going through the instructions, please let me know and we will take a further look no problem.
Thank you,
Marco

Hi,
I have had lots of items removed for violating the bladed items policy recently. Fair enough (if they do violate it) however I have a number of issues:
1) Many items do not violate the policy and appeals are automatically rejected. When raised with CS, I am sent a cut and paste reply pointing me to the policy (that the item does not violate).
2) If I try to change the postage policy to my age-verified one, the system simply does not allow me to. It keeps throwing up an error saying an age-verified policy must be used (which it is). I have deactivated everything on the policy eg collection in person etc but still have the same error.
I have raised this with CS but keep getting fobbed off with replies pointing me to the policy rather than admitting there is a technical error. Please could somebody take this issue on board (look at my messages with CS) and own this error and please sort it out.

Hi lamppostelectrical, thanks for your question.
We're sorry to hear that your experience with removals hasn't been great so far, but unfortunately, we are not able to appeal or action removals at all over this channel, we can only suggest contact our customer service, so they can review that for you. However, I can pass on your feedback, so this can be taken into consideration, but please note that this doesn't necessarily means that a follow up or further actions would be taken around this.
Thank you,
Marco

This is still being looked into. Ive seen some reports on site saying RM are only allowing AV for business sellers however, this has not been confirmed. At the moment though AV can only be purchased through the RM site directly.
Thanks,
Dave
