I am a UK citizen resident in the UK. I have been using my ebay account for 22+ years. I have bought and sold many items and have 100% feedback. During these 22+years I spent a few years working in Thailand. As per ebay recommendations I updated my personal details with my Thai address. Having returned to the UK, I now want to revert my personal details to use my UK home address. After several weeks trying to get this change made via the website and failing, specialist agents at ebay say I cant revert to my UK address! Note this is not an IT issue, a block has been imposed by ebay on my account to prevent this change.

 

This means I will always appear as resident in Thailand, I can't sell without joining Payoneer, and I can't get payments to my bank account directly. There are probably also tax consequences. The solution suggested by ebay is to open a new account! As you can imagine, losing 22+years of positive feedback as a result of a block imposed by ebay is not acceptable.

 

Why have ebay blocked me being able to revert my address?
