I've just got an update on this, and because the official website from the UK government uses the wording "side-hustlers", we've used the same wording in order to describe it as accurate as possible. We will still considering your feedback, but this is how the UK government originally worded it. You can see it here, in case you would like to take a further look.

Yes, good point! For example, I sold a mobile phone a few months ago for ~£1500, but couldn't select a higher insurance tier on the label buying page on Ebay. In the end, I was forced to use the RM site instead to get the £2500 tier of cover.

A strange omission on the label buying page, when Ebay can clearly see the final price is WAY above the insurance level they offer you?

Yes I've also complained about the wording there , Hustle indicates something seedy, underhand, dodgy.

Is this the image Ebay and HMRC want to portray, i guess not. anyway I've had my say no need to reply.

marco@ebay that’s fair enough, and I have heard the advert.
But from eBay’s standpoint my last sentence stands as you know I bang on about incorrectly registered sellers every week and the lack of action.

Thanks for the feedback on the postage.

While eBay does its best to offer the same services as the courier sites the integration can be limited due to its own policies and agreements in place. For the shipping labels having them being brought by the couriers is a good option for those that require it so I will share this suggestion with our shipping team.

Currently the insurance option being offered is the basic up to £750 as that is the max option that Ebay can offer for now. You can purchase this option on the courier site if you wish and can add the tracking to the order on eBay.
