Help with no sales, need ideas

Hi, I've been on eBay for around 17 years on and off. I had a really good shop was selling quite a lot but some bad information given by customer support led me to lose my shop. All my listings started ending.

 

I'm now trying to build another shop, I am a business and have a basic shop to begin with, but I'm struggling to get sales. I realised recently my handmade items were in the wrong section, my fault ,so I'm changing that.

But just wondering if anyone can give me any advice on my listings, maybe I'm doing something wrong?

 

I'm promoting at 2%, should I be promoting at the suggested eBay amount of 12%? or another figure?

 

Should I drop my prices to start getting sales so I can build some traction on my shop and reviews, hopefully? I know sellers have done this on Amazon but I need to get my eBay shop working for me.

Any ideas, please?

I suspect that a 2% promotion rate is not helping, but the rate has to be balanced against what you can afford

Not a business account but I use 5% and still get messages from ebay to increase to get more visibility.

Just shows how meaningless is the Free to list for private sellers, virtually no sales unless you pay a promotion fee.

Thanks for your reply, yes, I have 2% on my private account as well, zero sales also, constantly getting messages from eBay on my account telling me to go to 12-13%.  I did this once for a couple of days no sales whatsoever complete waste of time.

Can i ask, do you get sales with using 5% ?  I'm on 3% at the moment on my business account and 2% on my private account
