Help with GSP refund

So I have sent the wrong item via GSP. Its a low value item so I havnt asked for it to be returned and have provided a full refund. The customer has requested a refund for GSP shipping costs and rightly so. I cannot refund at my end so I've spoken with Ebay and so has customer and they won't refund either. I'm trying my best to resolve and avoid our first negative feedback in over 2.2k transactions but hitting a wall. I want to reimburse this customer for the international shipping they have paid and I cannot see how to do this.

Ebay would have refunded the international charges paid by the buyer but only if the buyer opened a case for item not as described.

 

It seems they didn't do that.

 

You could make a separate payment for those charges out of your own pocket, outside of ebay.

How would I make a seperate payment outside of ebay as I dont have the customers bank details to process?

You need to negotiate that with the buyer.

Paypal may be a more convenient way if buyer has an account.

 

As said I doubt it will happen again, if buyer had opened. not as described case, then this situation would not have arisen.
