Defective item / no response from seller

" I bought a "Makita 6ah 18v Power Tool Battery BL1860BX2 18V Li-lon Battery-black"  in November 2025. The battery has been used once with a Makita hedge trimmer. Upon trying to charge the battery on a genuine Makita battery charger the red and green lights flash indicating a fault with the battery or charger. I have a second 3ah Makita battery that the charger charges without issue. Therefore, I believe something is wrong with the 6ah battery which was stored in a cool dry place in doors over the winter." - the seller has not responded to this message. Any suggestions?

Too late to do anything through ebay, but payment providers usually allow 120 days, except Paypal which is also only 30 days. 

Contact payment Provider to see if they can do a charge back. 

 

Even if seller was willing to help it is only possible to make refunds through ebay for 90 days.
