We have been a high volume business seller for 22 years. Our sales have dropped 75% since 4th February when the seller protection fee was introduced.

Buyers were already covered to the hilt before this came in so it is just another form of 'fee greed' from ebay.

Ebay was always a market leader equally for small business and private sellers - they should be concentrating on maintaining that role instead of trying to mimic Vinted which is clearly what is happening -  it is just not working as sellers are leaving in their droves due to the plummeting sales results of their actions.

We do not use 'simple delivery' as we have a Royal mail business account so at least we have dodged that bullet but are now in the process of running down our stock with a view to closing our ebay presence completely by the end of 2025 as it is simply no longer a viable place to sell (or even buy).
