No arguments there Caution - very much reinforces what I was saying - the Romans didn't impose their religion on lands they conquered for one very simple reason - they needed the local religions and beliefs to help subjugate the local population. Judaea being a prime example. This demonstrates that the governing bodies of civilisations such as the Romans weren't trying to impose religious beliefs on the population for non-secular reasons but using religion as a tool and a weapon.
