Sent an item to a buyer who says wrong item arrived

Sent s pair of trainers to a buyer myself, packed myself posted myself and now the buyer has contacted me saying received a pair of trainers I have never even seen before?@? Is this a well known scam? If so how do I deal with it?

If it's for the Puma shoes,then wait and see what the buyer does.

If they open an ebay return request for item not as described in the listing then you will have to accept the return,supply a pre-paid return label and refund in full within 3 days of getting them back.

If you refuse,ebay can refund on your behalf,not ask that the items are returned and place a defect on your account

A buyer has 30 days from the estimated delivery date to open an ebay  return/case
