The one good thing you have in your favour is that ebay will always favour the buyer so even if it doesnt arrive you will get your money back.  In my experience I have only bought one expensive item from abroad and it took ages to arrive so I tend to stick to just small purchases now for under £5 as it is less risky.  I often send aboard though just make sure you always sent tracked as there are some scammers out there! I lost out on a europa 80 album I sold for £40 and sent to Italy non recordered and the guy was chasing me after a week saying it hadnt arrived item.  Ebay then credited him the money back and he kept the album! I was very annoyed to say the least but I learnt a lesson 🙂
