My husband and I both upgraded (about a week ago) from iPhone 15 pros to iPhone 17 running IOS 26.4.2 and the eBay app just will not work on these new phones (no issues on the old phone, that still works fine).
Home Screen does not load any content.
Log in page opens but just spins forever when you put in your details.
Have tried all troubleshooting tips found (like delete app, restart phone, install app OR log in via browser to “trigger” it to work) many times. No change.
Actually can’t log in via the phone browser if the eBay is still on the phone as it tries to switch to it all the time and does not work. Delete the app and can use the web version.
There are no updates available.
Only advice has been “there are known glitches, use the website and wait for an update that might solve it” … surely that’s not right!! Can’t understand why the iPhone 15 pro works fine running the same IOS!
Is there a fix?

Don’t even know why I tried this but it seemed to trigger it. It also didn’t work first time on my husbands phone (I did mine first) so maybe try a few times (mainly the bit about WiFi off and using mobile data)
So I turned off WiFi. deleted the app completely. Restarted the phone. Downloaded the app and tried to log in. I can’t remember if this worked first time on my phone or I toggled WiFi on/off a few times but it suddenly loaded the Home Screen properly and I was able to log in.
I had also tried logging in on my work iPhone (different model) and that had worked a dream. So I knew it was isolated to the iPhone 17s.
I also wasn’t sure if logging in on that phone had triggered something, but didn’t do that for my husbands and I got that working as well.
It took some patience and perseverance but I got there and this is the only thing I did differently to before (the mobile data thing).
Good luck! Hope it works!
It’s a bit ridiculous huh!
