Since adding numbers together and sorting them into order is about the simplest thing that computers are generally really good at, this failure baffles me. I can only assume that the people who could fix it, and have spent the last two years not fixing it,  are not fixing it for a very deliberate reason, but I can't for the life of me work out what that might be.

Do any of you have any insight into this that you can share please?
