@ell567 noted this on the long NO LONGER SELLING DUE TO... thread.

- They stated that they setup a listing with Simple Delivery, but set to Free Delivery so they would be charged for the Standard Delivery label

- However, the buyer selected Collect from a Collection Point (eg Evri collection not Home Delivery) and on the list of prices for Simple Delivery labels - this costs £2.26, less than a Simple Delivery label if delivering to a home address

- But the seller ell567 stated that they were charged the price as if the Simple Delivery label was being delivered to a home address

if true, this goes against the Simple Delivery terms which states '...offer free delivery to your buyer and pay the cost associated with the Simple Delivery label'

So is this a known issue?

Thank you for your reply although this is not a good outcome for sellers as we will all have to relist the items again once they have been returned and hope that they will sell again.

Coincidently or not, I have just had a tracking update on my business account which was a C&C to say that Evri have attempted a delivery and there was no safe place to leave the parcel ( a shop!).

I think the issue may not just be affecting parcels sent by Simple Delivery.

Hi @jonatjonatjonat

I'm not aware of an issue like this but the user who has the issue should reach out to CS with their example. The team there will be able to look into it for them.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi @cobwebcottage ,

That's understandable and we do apologise for the inconvenience caused. It was not a technical issue that could of been forseen. Buyers may be more understanding once it is explained to them and can re-purchase the item or have it re-sent.

Right now the information for the technical issue is for Simple Delivery orders. If that changes an update will be shared.

Thank you,

Kat

I am currently out of office and will return on the 2nd of June. Please expect a delay in my reply

Thank you for your reply. But there seems to be no solution, category to add age -verified postage to letter openers with SD.

"Letter openers are allowed as long as sellers use age-verified delivery and is visible on the listing": eBay's policy.

If you check at the moment the +1800 letter openers for sale on eBay: are all listed without age-verified postage.

If a crime happens with a letter opener sold on eBay: curious to know who will be responsible?

Need for this reason I think an urgent review. Thank you.
