As a buyer I want to know which carrier a seller / eBay intends to use. Currently in many cases all I can see under "Postage" is Standard or Express Delivery - it is not transparent as to which carrier corresponds to which service. Can this be made clearer please?

Hi @andreparr14

Thanks for the feedback, I'll pass this over to the site team to review as a possible update.

Thanks,

Dave

eBay

So is RM48 included in Premium Service? Is 2nd class post included as shown on the image I attached earlier? If you can let me know because currently we send everything 1st class / RM24 as we thought that would be enough for Premium Service but if RM48 or 2nd class post can get it, we would look at that option

@andreparr14 wrote:

That doesn't seem to be the case - eBay states that de-selecting a carrier results in postage being more expensive

Hi @andreparr14

I understand what you mean. This way it can give less options when only one postage service is selected so if there are cheaper options with the de-selected courier then yes it can make it more expensive.

Kat

Hi Marco,

My main point is that BPF shouldn't be needed if a private seller sent a item by RM 48hr Tracked. BPF only means I no longer pay the price a item was actually listed for and as RM Tracked included compensation surely this is unfair for a buyer and seller.

Thanks for your feedback, rugbyguy1960.

We will pass this on for you no problem. As advised before, anything else you wish to flag with us, please feel free to let us know.

"these are the rates that have been set as part of the Simple Delivery service."

And why are the rates more expensive if sellers are unable to use Evri, for example because of distance to an evri drop off location rendering Evri untenable, is the extra fee a penalty?

Is there a forecast completion date for the simple delivery roll out, we were previously made to believe the 15th of April was that date?

Hi @orange_ox ,

The roll out of the 15th of April was the start of the rollout. Its being done on a gradual basis since the 15th of April.

A Simple delivery question.

eBay states that all parcels are now covered against loss and damages up to delivery of parcel. However in eBay's Terms & Conditions it states these are subject to the carriers Terms & Conditions. Evri has a huge list of items not covered for loss or damage therefore I assume that they wont be covered by eBay either.

Why then are eBay selecting Evri to be the courier for my antique ceramics and are they going to cover loss or damage to these items.

@ruby*ryan wrote:

Why is it that the simple delivery options only show sizes up to 61cm long, when on the help pages it states you can send an item up to 120cm in length by Evri (and I had settings to use RM and Evri for the screen shot).

To send your items through the Simple Delivery programme, your packaged item will need to meet the following requirements:

Weighs up to 20kg
Dimensions:
For an EVRi parcel shop drop-off – no side exceeds 120cm in length, the volume is no more than 245cm. To calculate the volume, add together the two shortest sides and multiply it by two, and then add the length
For a Royal Mail parcel shop drop-off or collection – dimensions should be up to 61cm x 46cm x 46cm
For locker drop-off – dimensions shouldn't exceed 66cm x 41cm x 38cm
£750 or less (Buy It Now price, auction starting price or reserve price)

Hi @ruby*ryan

I'll reach out to the Simple Delivery Team on this and let you know what they come back with.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi @rugbyguy1960 ,

Its possible that spam filters may have intersected the communication. If you re-send the email we'll have it followed up.

How do you as ebay employees feel the introduction of the Simple Delivery Process has been managed ?

Did it achieve its goals, and timescales?

What are the users feedback experiences?

When will it be deployed to Business Sellers?

I see there was actually a 'Team' allocated to the process.

("We have been passing the sentiment from the community to the Simple Delivery Team but there are no plans to change the rollout") .

Hi @custom-giftsuk ,

If you check here it has the list of eligible delivery services

Can i send aerosol spray paints through simple delivery if i only have Royal Mail selected, given Royal mails own T&Cs expressly prohibit all aerosols for both business and private accounts? I cannot find the prohibited list for simple delivery, can you link to it?

Hi a45heaven, thanks for your question.

I consider this to be internal information, and due to the nature of your query, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to disclose information such as goals achieved, feedback, etc.

Thank you,

Marco

Sorry, not sure I understand, has it not been looked at since reported or do they not think there is an issue?

Thanks

Please confirm if large letter items are excluded from simple delivery?  Thank you.

Thank you Kat for that. So it does state that 2nd Class does qualify for premium service as the qualifiers are free domestic delivery within 3 working days (RM 2nd class is counted, from eBay as 2-3 working day)

Thanks, Dave. But why is the programme being rolled out with issues like this? This is fairly basic, one of my daughter's school kids (primary) could have seen that this doesn't equate.

Then we have the letter-size/large letter issue, which seems to keep changing on the help pages until it's as clear as mud.

i gave Customer services a few examples last week and spent 2 hour trying to explain what a letter was ? some listing are showing letter post others are not ie package size upto 100g not showing but shown in ruby*ryan

post above ?

Where is the best place to send screenshots too as I come across them?

Hi @orange_ox ,

This item would not be allowed through Simple delivery. Please scroll down on the page here to see the restricted and prohibited items list.

re. WATCHLIST or WATCH LIST (depending on where it appears on site!)

Is Ebay going to fix the way this works for the last month or so now? At the moment you have to add the item to the main list then copy it to one of your separate lists, BUT  if you then remove it from the main list it is ALSO being removed from the separate list it was copied to as well.

Is this a feature or a bug? If it's supposed to be a feature, please explain how this is useful?
