Around a month or so ago i asked if something could be added where sellers can alter the dispatch by date for certain items where the buyer is at fault for the delay in dispatch as it is really hurting my seller rating but i have heard nothing back and not noted anything that will be implemneted?

As we sell mostly personalised items we rely on the buyer filling out the personalisation details correctly or in most cases eBay is unable to process them in the first place so we have to reach out to the buyer to ask for these details. Some buyers will respond promptly however others take a day or more to reply this causes the item to be dispatched "late" in eBay's eyes but not late in the buyers eyes. However as soon as we upload tracking information it automatically goes against us as a seller as "late dispatch" but this i not fault of our own.

Other platforms allow the seller to inform the buyer of the change in the dispatch date which will not affect seller ratings, when will eBay implement something similar to assist sellers rather then punishing them?

Hi ak_craft_crazy, thanks for your post.

When you share your feedback with us, your feedback will be reviewed, and then a decision will be made to decide whether this is something that can/should be implemented. However, this doesn't necessarily mean that every single feedback/suggestion we get will be taken on board or implemented. Also, we wouldn't be sharing updates on feedback/suggestions that is flagged with us.

Thank you,

Marco

I am currently away on my sabbatical, and will return in July. Please expect a delay in my reply
