Yes proxy bidding works for me - it saves my nerves.

Some auctions end very late at night, or you might be out or away from the computer, or something unexpected comes up to disrupt your plan to bid.

When bidding on several items from the same seller whose auctions end only minutes apart, I find using eBay's proxy bidding system is handy.
