I also spoke to RM & eBay Shipping @ the Open last week and made both of them aware of the situation and RM blamed eBay and eBay blamed RM. I know eBay are aware of this issue, I've been banging on about it for the last 3 months and I know there are several people within eBay who are aware of this situation.

Ouch, I'm sorry to hear that you have been going through this for 3 months! This seems to have become a widespread problem this week affecting many accounts, so hopefully this will give eBay the push to finally sort this out.

I'm pleading with sellers who are affected by this to contact eBay CS and shout as loud as you humanly can about this. Lets say some actions were taken by eBay that adversely affected our account because of this, and it took 3 days of hard work to resolve it and the assistance of some very very helpful members of eBay CS. Do not let yourselves fall into the belief that it'll sort itself. It wont. eBay will hold you, as a seller accountable for this as they have done to us. 

Same here no Royal Mail updates on eBay since the 6th, but showing delivered or tracking available on Royal Mail website / app. Also getting the Running late message on listing. It’s just one glitch after another recently and it’s wearing very thin 😡

Do you know of any update and will sellers be penalised for this? 

I cannot say for certain what any update is, but I can assure you eBay have penalised sellers previously. 

The more people that speak up about this the better - they can't penalise us all, certainly not when there is no wrongdoing on out part.

 

The lack of response or urgency from eBay about this so far has been incredibly frustrating, to say the least.

Same issue here too. It seemed to start within the last week as the previous week's items all tracked using the same Royal Mail Special Delivery service (from the same public counter) perfectly fine.

eBay staff, can you please verify and fix this on orders 16-13649-62461 and 26-13637-18147 please? Proof of delivery exists, but your system isn't showing as delivered and the live chat agents are really struggling to help.

Could I ask you for an update on this? The issue is still persisting, and the customer service live chat team won't acknowledge that there is a technical issue or that eBay won't consequently penalise sellers?

Yes having same issue, literally got lots of positive feedback but it’s not updated the delivery detail on eBay. I just came onto here to see if anyone is having same problem. Must be a glitch or update. Only just started past few days

its definitely a widespread issue now. I made 2 orders on eBay yesterday both from separate sellers who updated the tracking information (Both are business sellers).

 

Both of which on royal mail show on route to me but on eBay only the "tracking number provided" statement

 

as its clearly widespread now hopefully they will get a fix in motion quickly.

I'd like to add my voice to this.  Every day now I contact customer support with a list of delivered items to get them to change the status to delivered.  Every day they say there is no problem even though these are all on the same internal service request so  it should be building a problem ticket but no sign of it going to anyone techincal.

Just an update, I spoke to Ebay concierge this morning and hardly anyone has reported the problem so I would recommend anyone with problems speaking to Ebay so that they can log the request otherwise this is not going to get sorted out.

Very interesting, so they are not even aware of the problem after all, despite what other users have been told. If everyone could keep calling as much as possible (especially if your account has access to concierge) then this can only help.

I've just done a test and there may be a "fix" for now - 

 

If you buy the postage label directly on eBay, the tracking information WILL update - almost immediately after it has been dropped off or collected. However, if you organise your postage elsewhere and enter your own tracking information (as seems to be the case with all users so far) then the tracking information will NOT update at all.

 

In my own case, I was using Royal Mail Click & Drop which did NOT get tracking updates. This is likely the case for any tracking number that you would have to enter manually, even postage paid for at a Post Office counter.

 

Granted, many business sellers will have their own arrangements and will not be able to buy postage on eBay. For many this will be far more expensive, as they will likely have business accounts with Royal Mail at reduced rates.

 

Hopefully this helps at least some of you, until eBay can be bothered to sort this out.

I’m also experiencing this issue. I’m a private seller and posted one item Tracked 48 over 48 hours ago and no update since ‘label created,’ although the parcel is now at the local delivery office. I spoke with a representative yesterday, but it was really rather pointless. I was assured that the information would most likely update within 48 hours from the point of marking the item as dispatched, but alas this has not happened. I am just about to contact them again to log the ongoing issue. The agent guaranteed that my account would not be penalised, but I’m not holding my breath! Hoping for a fix for everybody concerned as soon as possible. 

I should also add that my daughter purchased a few items on her account via Tracked 48 around three days ago and these were delivered yesterday, but tracking has not updated for them either. 

I don’t use eBay for postage, but I’ve never had a parcel not update tracking info until this week. None have updated, even the recorded delivery ones. These are all showing delivered on Royal Mail. ONE which did show as delivered was a parcel sent to a ECP collection point which is interesting as I’m still using Royal Mail tracking.

im assuming it’s just a technical issue..

in the meantime I’ve been checking the status on Royal Mail and if delivered kindly asking my customers to leave feedback and confirm item was delivered on time
