Hi John. The link didn’t work, but I think it would only take me to the article about authentication which I have already read.   The article didn’t help really, which is why I thought someone on Community could help me.  I haven’t touched settings in a long time.  Also, when I came to pay, it must have automatically defaulted at that option as I didn’t select anything.  Any ideas ?  

John, on reading more,  it’s an option that can be added on at checkout on certain brands under £200.  But.  I didn’t select that, why would I ?   So I think what is happening is that it’s defaulting with that additional cost and you have to deselect it, which is very wrong in my opinion.   I can’t think of anything else it could be.   What do you think ? 

If it was defaulting there would be many other complaints.  The most likely explanation is that you clicked on it in error.  Easy to do if using your phone.

Thanks for your response.  But I know I didn’t select anything. When the notice for Pay Now pops in in Notifications, I always just click on it and pay immediately, I never look and check it.  I’ve never been aware of any opportunities to select other things, just Pay.  I think it defaulted as selected, and then you need to deselect it, if you know what I mean.
