Only BINs are automatically  relisted for most sellers, but for new sellers for some reason ebay automatically renews auctions as well.

As already suggested, just end all and relist when ready. Suggest ending a few days before being away, to clear up any outstanding sales and to avoid any problems with cases from buyers, Not Received, Not as described for example which can cause problems if you are unable to deal with them.
